Order & Delivery
Once your order and your card details have been processed by Stripe, you will be able to view an onscreen confirmation that your order process has been completed and you will also receive an email invoice confirming your order.
Additionally, you will also be able to login to your ‘The Limes Fruit & Veg’ account to view and check the status of your order (if you registered an Account).
When you place an order to purchase a product we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order containing the details of your order, including transaction and order reference numbers. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product, which is accepted by us when we process payment for your order.
When we accept your order, we will send a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail.
Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract. If you have incorrectly entered your email address your confirmation and dispatch email will fail. So long as payment has been processed successfully this will in no way affect your order. Failure by us to send a receipt confirmation email or dispatch confirmation email in no way invalidates your offer or our acceptance of your offer.
Payment Details We DO NOT store Credit or Debit Card details. This means that nobody can steal your details as we simply do not have them! We use Stripe and as our payment processing partners who use the most secure up to date encrypted SSL (secure socket layer) when transferring transaction details in the checkout process. This means that no information submitted during this process can be examined, used or modified by any unauthorised third parties. Our customers credit card information never hits our servers, it goes from our customers computer/device straight to our payment processing partners servers keeping their information safe.
Our Customers can also Save their Credit & Debit Cards details for faster payment of any future orders, but for security we DO NOT store these Credit or Debit Card details, instead these details are saved on Stripes servers for added security.
You can pay by most major credit and debit cards. Your details will be encrypted to keep them secure.
Customer Personal Details Our website utilises industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of potentially sensitive information such as your name, address and other critically sensitive information. Information passed between your computer and our website cannot be read in the event someone else intercepts it. This technology includes the following features:
- Authentication – this assures your browser that your data is being sent to the correct computer server, and that the server is secure.
- Encryption – this encodes the data, so that it cannot be read by anyone other than the secure server.
- Data Integrity – this checks the data being transferred to ensure it has not been altered.
When you access a website secured by an SSL certificate issued by a trusted Certificate Authority, you will see https:// at the beginning of its URL. Depending on the type of validation a certificate applicant passed prior to the certificate issuance, a browser may also show the connection as secure by displaying a “lock” icon in the address bar.
We accept the payment types through our online store.
- Credit & Debit Card – We accept all major Debit & Credit Cards through our payment processor Stripe.
- Bank Transfer (BACS) – We accept bank transfers, but please note that your order will not be dispatched until we have confirmed receipt of your transfer.
- Cheque – We accept cheque/postal payments, but please note that your order will not be dispatched until the cheque has cleared in our account.
- Cash on Delivery – We accept cash on delivery, but only if you are home to receive the delivery. If you choose this method of payment at checkout, We will contact you on the day of delivery to make sure you will be home.
Yes, there is a minimum order of £7.50
We deliver Monday to Friday, normally in the afternoon (between 1pm – 5pm depending on your location).
We are able to offer FREE Home Delivery, please see below for details:
- We have a minimum spend of £7.50.
- FREE delivery is offered to customers within a 3 mile radius of our store.
- Delivery to customers within 3 – 12 miles radius of the store will have a delivery charge of £2.95.
- FREE delivery is also offered to all customers who have orders which total £20.00 and over.
No problem. We can take delivery instructions so our driver can leave your order exactly where you want it. You can add these instructions during the checkout stage of your online order.
Many of our local customers order online and collect their order from our shop.
To collect from our shop, please select ‘Collect from Store’ as your delivery option at checkout.
If you need the goods in a hurry we will have your order picked and ready for collection by the time you arrive.
If ordered before 12pm, it can be collected in the afternoon if all products are in stock, if not in stock then your will be able to collect your order the following afternoon subject to availability and season.
If you don’t want to spend the time selecting individual items from our store, then we have our selection of set Boxes that have been put together by our greengrocers. Choose from, Fruit Boxes, Veg Boxes and Weekly Essentials Boxes in a variety of sizes; making it easier for you to get all your produce in one delivery for one bulk price.
If you want to choose your own selection of vegetables, fruit etc, then you will need to select all your produce separately from our online shop and add them to your basket.
We work hard to ensure your order reaches you in perfect condition. If you think something is missing from your order, just let us know on the same day & we will credit you for the missing items.
We photograph each delivery to allow us to verify the items are missing.
We work hard to bring you fresh, high quality produce. With fresh fruit and vegetables, the odd thing can inevitably go wrong. We try to catch any problems and grade out anything that is substandard or doesn’t have enough shelf life.
If you have a problem, please let us know on the same day and we will credit you for the misubstandard items.
We photograph each delivery to allow us to verify the quality of the produce.
You can cancel your order and receive a full refund if you contact us as soon as you have placed the order, which should be before the items have been picked and boxed.
If the order has already been picked/boxed and prepared for delivery and due to the fact that our produce are perishable items, then you do not have the right to cancel the order or request a refund, but we will do our best to accommodate you.

Periodically, we may have to make changes to the website which means taking it offline. If this is the case it will usually display a notice when it is likely to be available again. If the website is persistently unavailable, please call us on 016973 44383 or email us at email@example.com to place your order.

You will receive a link to create a new password via email.

Our system automatically emails you on order completion so that you have a copy of your order information. If this is the first time we have sent an email to you it’s most likely that your email provider or the email software you use has stopped the email we have sent from being delivered to you. Ask your provider to check and configure your email software to accept our email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) so that it is not marked it as spam.
Emails that are not delivered to your “inbox” are most likely delivered to a “Junk Mail” or “Spam” folder.
